Averaging periods
The wind climate displays large seasonal variations. The climatology is presented for different averaging periods.
Averaging period: Year Year Spring Summer Autumn Winter
Key climatology data
The wind climatology is presented graphically as a wind rose, giving the average wind speed distribution according to velocity intervals and wind directions. The velocity intervals are divided in 9 bins, where every occurrence of wind speeds above 18 m/s has been lumped in the last bin. Incoming wind directions are divided in 12 sectors, where the first sector is centred around north.
