Minimum PC Requirements

WindSim 9 runs on Microsoft Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, Server 2003, Server 2008 (R2) , Server 2012 R2 and Server 2016 (64-bit versions in all cases). We recommend using the newest 64 bit versions: Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016. 3D Visualizations do not require-but will render best-with graphics cards that support OpenGL.

The Ultimate Combination

To provide you with the best results possible we have recommended the most powerful combination/PC:

– Latest 64bit Windows

– More than 3 Ghz Processor

– 3GB of RAM per core

– Shared memory

– Fast SSD

This combination is not a necessity in order to run WindSim, but a “bigger” model will give you extra power to run your simulations!

Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5

WindSim 9 requires the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5. Please install it before you begin your WindSim installation if it is not already installed on your computer. Get the Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 here.
