Release #7 – 15.01.2026
The Accelerator release 7 includes the launch of the Flowres export, which unlocks direct compatibility between Accelerator projects and EMD WindPRO. In addition, it enables users to download terrain data with a manual set resolution.
Flowres export
- The output is a .flowres file (compressed archive) containing a set of .grd files that can be imported into WindPRO for further post-processing.
- Each .grd file stores CFD simulation results for a specific sector and height
- Results are produced for all sectors run, calculated at the height of each cell layer below 300 m.
- .grd files are generated automatically for each sector and each cell layer, with no user input required.
- After all sectors complete successfully (waiting time is depending on the project size), the .flowres file will be available under Flowres Files in Accelerator.
- Rerunning sectors automatically update the files inside the .flowres archive.
Customized Terrain Resolution
- The terrain data resolution can be adjusted according to the needs in terms of the grid resolution and terrain complexity.
