WindSim AS launches powerful GCV solver solution enabling cutting edge technology solution to customers worldwide
The GCV (General Collocated Velocity) Solver outperforms all other solutions on the market today which demonstrate limitations in complex terrain sites. The GCV Solver represents a major upgrade to the WindSim CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) procedure. Comprised of a new numerical scheme, GCV handles highly non-orthogonal grids, used in complex terrain situations. This powerful technology makes the CFD procedure faster and more robust without compromising on the accuracy. TONSBERG, NORWAY--(December 4, 2013) - WindSim AS, a pioneer and leading provider of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) technology used to optimize wind turbine placement, wind performance, and bankable AEP, announced the launch of the enhanced GCV solver solution. Results from the use of this advanced technology show maximized wind farm performance; minimized risk, downtime and maintenance cost. Wind park layout optimization has increased the AEP (Annual Energy Production) by 3% to 10%.
