Appoints Software Industry Veteran Robert D. Buckley as President

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - April 15, 2009) - Norway's WindSim AS today announced the launch of WindSim AMERICAS Inc. to meet the increased demand for its advanced software solutions and professional services that help worldwide wind energy industry leaders design more profitable wind farms. WindSim is the leading innovator of CFD techniques in the worldwide wind energy industry.

WindSim pioneered the application of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to optimize wind turbine placement. The company possesses strong global domain expertise because it has helped its customers meet the challenges of wind farm design and wind resource assessment for more than ten years.

Software industry veteran Robert D. Buckley will lead WindSim AMERICAS, as its president and as a member of the board, from its Boston headquarters. The new company will manage all existing partner and customer relationships in North America, Central America, and South America and foresees strong growth in these regions.

"We are delighted to have someone of Bob's caliber onboard. He brings more than 25 years of software sales, marketing, and general management experience to WindSim. His skill set maps perfectly to what we sought to help us meet the challenges of our rapid growth. He has a proven track record of helping customers understand and benefit from the high value delivered by advanced software technologies like ours," noted Dr. Arne Reidar Gravdahl, WindSim's founder.

Mr. Buckley is focusing on soliciting customer input, establishing strategic alliances, and building a customer-driven field organization as WindSim AMERICAS continues to ramp up. He will also lead WindSim's expanded marketing efforts and implement programs that strengthen WindSim's global brand.

WindSim AMERICAS will further develop its affiliations with regional wind industry trade organizations including AWEA, the American Wind Energy Association; CANWEA, the Canadian Wind Energy Association; and LAWEA, the Asociación Latinoamericana de Energía Eólica to raise awareness through active participation in conferences and workshops. WindSim will exhibit at the upcoming WINDPOWER 2009 Conference & Exposition taking place May 4 - 7 in Chicago and will offer a WindSim software training course during the event.
