How to upgrade your current WindSim license or purchase Add-on Modules.

WindSim 5 includes an upgraded software protection technology to offer more licensing flexibility for our users. New support for feature-based and network-based license options is now added to our traditional support of perpetual licenses and subscriptions.

What is the cost to upgrade to WindSim 5? No charge, if you have a Perpetual License and your Annual Maintenance agreement is active. And, your upgrade is free if you have an active Monthly or Annual Subscription.

Add-on modules are not included and must be licensed separately. Contact info@windsim.com with your name, address, company, and license information if your Annual Maintenance agreement has lapsed. We will provide your available options to upgrade to WindSim 5.

Do I need a new hardware key? No, you do not need a new hardware key to run WindSim 5 unless you change your license type. But, you do need a new License Code to run WindSim 5.

Do I need a new License Code? Yes, you do need a new License Code to run WinSim 5.

How do I get a new License Code? Easy, start WindSim and follow the instructions under "Help | Renew Key". Simply email us the Locking Code generated and we will email you a new License Code that will work with your current hardware key. Your current license terms and condtions will still apply.

If you cannot start WindSim, you can go directly to the Field Exchange Utility. You will find it in the folder where you installed WindSim (typically "C:\Program Files\WindSim\WindSim 5.0\bin\Sentinel"). Just double-click "FieldExUtil.exe" and follow the instructions to get your Locking Code. Email it to us at info@windsim.com with your name, address, company, and license information. 

WindSim 5 includes add-on modules to deliver powerful new options for our users. These options include our Remote Sensing Correction Tool, Park Optimizer, and Multiple Core Utilization for parallel processing.

How do I get an Add-on Module? Easy, contact a WindSim Direct Sales Office or a Reseller Partner.

Will I need a new hardware key? Yes, we will exchange your current hardware key with a new enhanced hardware key. We will need to update your License Code too.

Will Add-on Modules work with earlier versions of WindSim? No, Add-on Modules require WindSim 5.
