Digital terrain model - elevation (m). |
| A digital terrain model in 3D has been generated based on the presented elevation data. Variations in vegetation are in general modelled with a varying roughness length. Lack of roughness information on a proper digital format implied that the model is set up with a constant roughness lenght of 0.03 m, see "roughness". The digital terrain model uses an irregular grid where both elevation and roughness data have the same horizontal resolution. In the vertical direction the model is extended well above the highest point in the terrain, click on "grid" for further details. Finally, for visualization purposes the model might by covered by a texture, typically an air-plane photo. Click on "texture" or go directly to "Visualization" in the left menu for full 3D interactive manipulation of the terrain model. | |
